When should I engage an Interior Designer?

When you are in the planning stages prior to building consent is a great time to have your Interior Designer look over your plans. Alternatively, you can consult an Interior Designer before plans are drawn up. 

Colours and undertones of fixed elements like joinery and flooring, stone, etc, have a large impact on your overall scheme. Consulting an Interior Designer before locking these fixed elements in is the best way to ensure you can achieve the final overall look and feel you envisage. They will be able to put a plan together of your end result that will ensure you have a well-balanced scheme.

I already have an architect and a builder, why do I need an interior designer?

Floor plans, layouts and flow is an Interior Designer’s specialty. They can help you ensure your space/s have your requirements well considered and thought through. 

Have your interior designer look over your plans to see that the spaces are going to be able to work for your household, guests, and furniture in the way you envisage. 

Your design concept and dream furniture may look great in the magazine or even on a CAD rendering, but will the dimensions and design suit your space and give you your desired result?
