Omaha Bay Art
Bonny is a gifted artist who is often found in her studio, producing an increasing portfolio of powerful work. A connection to the land and heritage are reflected in her surrounds of Omaha sand and sea.
EW Spaces has begun an exciting collaborative journey with Bonny to showcase her works throughout her home.
This ongoing project is an incredible juxtaposition of glamorous and grounded elements which has informed the design brief of this project.
EW Spaces initial proposition was to create a flexible gallery exhibition-like space in the front entrance.
Among the specifications and design for this project, EW Spaces specified a new, bespoke front door, and a custom hall runner detailing Davis’ artwork “He Maunga”.
With the artists’ permission EW Spaces commissioned our supplier to create a luxurious hand-knotted wool and tencel rug in Nepal.
A section of this powerful artwork was transposed to specific dimensions and scale that would suit the entrance space, with the colours selected by the artist to match the work.
The result has been a unique opportunity to express Bonny’s passion and talent through an extension of her creative practice.
